Our Story:

The FIA Percussion line of mallets was born from a passion for directly supporting music education.  We wanted to be closer to the player and the educators that are forming the next generation of players.

Every FIA mallet is designed with purpose—function inspiring art—balancing thoughtful design, performance, and durability with the needs of the end user in mind.

Our goal is simple: create exceptional percussion tools that empower educators, inspire players, and make quality accessible to more students.

Our History:

We’re a Minnesota company that has been manufacturing percussion products for 40 years, starting with the invention and patent of Rods.  Specializing in birch from the North woods, we’ve been producing hand made products for the largest percussion companies in the industry.

Operating as a contract manufacturer over the years has put us in a unique position to be able to produce high quality products at lower prices.
